Laboratory:

Othello Community Hospital provides a wide range of clinical laboratory services 24 hours per day, seven days a week.
Our state-of-the-art equipped laboratory is staffed with highly qualified medical technologists. It is licensed by the
Washington State Department of Health and operates under the supervision of a consulting pathologist. We work
closely with our physicians to help them make quicker and better decisions for their patients. Tests are provided in
the following categories:
Including lipid profiles (cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, and LDL), measures blood sugar levels, and heart
attack screening.
Performs complete blood counts for chemotherapy patients and people with ailments such as anemia.
Types and processes blood for patient transfusions.
Assists in the diagnosis of infections such as urinary, respiratory, or blood.
Screens for diseases such as mononucleosis, rheumatoid arthritis, and auto-immune antibodies indicative of
diseases such as multiple sclerosis.
For outpatient specimen collections, you may come to the laboratory Monday through Friday between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m.
We will gladly accommodate specimens at other times with prior management. Please note that a physician order is
required for all tests.
